Tanker ‘stayed put for a while’ after flooding in Florida

A tanker that stayed put for more than two hours after a massive storm on the Gulf of Mexico was rescued by authorities, officials said.

The tanker was docked in Miami on Wednesday afternoon when it was forced to make an emergency stop at a port because of the damage caused by the storm, said Joe DiStefano, a spokesman for the Port of Miami-Dade.

The company that operates the tanker said that it did not know when the tank was to arrive.
