Coyotes announce three new players to fill roster

The Arizona Coyotes have signed two new players, adding depth to a group that includes forward Nick Bonino and defenseman Dylan Strome.

The Coyotes announced Tuesday they have signed Bonino, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound center from Toronto, to a two-year contract.

Bonino will play his first NHL game against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night.

Strome, a 5-foot, 185-pound defenseman, was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks last week.

The team will have a new addition to the lineup on Thursday when the team hosts the St. Louis Blues at Tucson Arena.

Goalie Cam Talbot, who has been on the ice with the Coyotes for three seasons, will be the backup.

Talbot, 32, has been a part of the Coyotes lineup since he joined the organization in 2010.

He’s appeared in the past six playoff games, posting a 3.22 goals-against average and .836 save percentage in 11 appearances.

Talbots last appeared in November’s Calder Cup Playoffs, going 4-1-0 with a 1.79 goals-allowed average and a 2.01 goals-save percentage.

Talots goal in that series came in Game 4 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
